چکیده
Earthquakes are a high-risk natural phenomenon in Indonesia, which is between three tectonic plates: the Eurasian, Pacific, and Indo–Australian plates. This study examines response of bored piles with asymmetrical pile cap Auditorium Building Brawijaya University to seismic loads, still rare conduct this research. assessed based on 3D finite element-numerical approach, where lateral resistance p-multiplier values compared effects combination stiffness, soil stiffness. The behavior deflection group single square gives good agreement. side slope can increase shear zone, resistance, most considerable lowest occurs horizontal direction, opposite loading direction. In addition, configuration that not symmetrical an increasing value followed by from element method was within recommended range.

Centrifuge modelling of long piles subjected to lateral loading with high load eccentricity in sand
In this research paper, five centrifuge lateral loading tests of long piles with a considerable load eccentricity were carried out in the sand to investigate the impacts of the load eccentricity and pile length changes on the lateral behavior of a flexible pile beside the determination of experimental p-y curves. Comparing experimental test results with the recommended API (American Petroleum ...
متن کاملExperimental Load Transfer of Piles Subject to Lateral Soil Movement
Remediation of slope failures requires stabilization alternatives that address causes of slope instability. Slope reinforcement and pile stabilization systems, if properly designed, are effective in preventing slope movements in weak soils. Soil load transfer to pile elements from the lateral soil movement as occurs in slope failures is a complex soil-structure interaction problem, and the sign...
متن کاملLateral Load Tests on Small-Diameter Piles for Slope Remediation
Slope reinforcement and the use of structural pile elements can be an effective slope remediation alternative when conventional remediation practices (e.g., improved drainage) fail to consider the causal factors leading to slope instability (e.g., strength loss due to weathering). An experimental research program was aimed at developing a rapid, cost-effective, and simple remediation system tha...
متن کاملA Practical Approach for Estimation of Lateral Load on Piles under Earthquake
ABSTRACT: The problem of lateral load induced on piles under earthquake has been plaguing professional engineers, geo-technical investigators and researchers alike for quite some time. The normal practice is to ensure that the fixed base shear of column does not exceed the static shear load capacity of piles. The inertial and stiffness effect of pile is usually ignored in dynamic earthquake ana...
متن کاملStudy on Bearing Capacity of Prestressed Pipe Pile Foundation Under Horizontal Load
Received: June 12, 2017 Revised: October 24, 2017 Accepted: November 03, 2017 Abstract: Background and Objective: Prestressed high strength concrete pipe pile (PHC) shows brittle fracture when subjected to more than its own bearing capacity. Therefore, the non-prestressed steel bar is added to the PHC pipe pile, that is, the mixed reinforced pipe pile (PRC). The mechanical behavior of PRC group...
